Landfill leachate treatment plant in Xi’an
This project is one of the key energy saving and emission reduction projects in Xi’an. Due to its unique nature, it drew high attention of throughout the county. The system used in the project is the first one in China with sewage-water being in both sides of the sewage, or source cycle, and it is used to transfer heat from the treatment plant’s aerobic pool to its anaerobic pool via KC Blue’s anti-clogging, sedimentation-impeding heat exchanger. No heat pumps were involved. However, it directly saved energy by eliminating the need to burn 40 tons of coal, and it thus reduced CO2 emissions by 100 tons, SO2 by 1 ton, NOX by 2 tons, and dust/particulates by 7 tons, annually.
